Mitch Braselton has over 25 years of banking and specialty finance experience.
Mr. Braselton has over 25 years of banking experience including as a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley, Bank of America and Deutsche Bank. At Morgan Stanley, he headed financial institution coverage and product management for structured credit products and specialized in synthetic financing and credit enhancement structures for financial institutions. At Bank of America, Mr. Braselton headed marketing and product management for structured products in Europe, the Middle East and Africa while based in London. Prior to that he focused on the insurance and reinsurance industries where he matched financial risk with the complex regulatory and capital needs of insurance companies to transfer exposure. Most recently he sourced distressed credit assets and provided funding in the alternative banking market as a Managing Director at Deutsche Bank.
In 2008, Mr. Braselton moved from the banking side to the buy side. He joined Garrison Investment Group, a fixed income asset manager, where he helped identify and unlock value in the increasingly distressed fixed income markets. He worked with commercial and industrial, consumer and corporate loans and real estate. He has since started two firms focused on advisory and investing in specialty finance assets.
Prior to business school, Mr. Braselton was a CPA in the Audit division of Peat Marwick (KPMG) in Atlanta.
Mr. Braselton received a B.S. in Accounting from Florida State University (Magna Cum Laude) and an M.B.A. in Finance and International Business from the University of Chicago (Distinction).
